We seem to get a ton of interest in our Micro Cards over here at the Printeca headquarters.

People are curious to know what makes them different from business cards.

For one, Micro Cards are almost half the size, which makes them stand out and get noticed. We've had people use Micro Cards as more than just a tool to communicate their contact information. In fact, many people use them as retail sales tags by simply attaching them with string or glue! Some people use them as miniature invitations or reminders for events, trade shows and even birthday parties. Last week, we saw someone order them as a "save the date" card for their wedding!

Okay this is a classic youtube video where a rather self-confident individual waxes about creating a memorable Business Card perhaps seriously or perhaps tongue-in-cheek. We aren't sure.

We do however agree with him that your Business Cards should be memorable, have some thought put into what you are presenting to potential customer hands and most importantly, be of the highest quality!

If you want the "whole-nine" with diecutting, embossing, foil stamping etc etc we can do that too. Use the custom request form on most every page of the site and we can tell you what it will cost.

There is nothing wrong with spending 15 years designing the perfect card however before you go to that trouble (and the 15 years) you should consider our 250 high quality four colour Business Cards for $27.99.

What is Carbon Neutral Printing?

We have had quite a few inquiries as to what is Carbon Neutral Printing?

So here goes...

We decided back in 2006 when we launched Printeca.com that we would consider the environment and the issue of Global warming as it applies to those of us involved in printing as a primary consideration.

We were already members of the Forestry Stewartship Council (FSC), we do use low VOC inks, process-less printing plates, waterless printing etc. so we were happy to discover that we could offset the entire process by purchasing Carbon Credits.

We purchase Carbon Credits from licensed government appointed bodies to offset the Carbon required to produce the paper, ink, electricity to manufacture, shipping of the product etc.

Whenever you purchase our Business Cards, Message Cards or Micro Cards you have (included in the sale price) offset the Carbon that was required to manufacture the raw materials as well as the production of your order itself.

You can feel good about that.

Printers that use cheap paper stocks or inks imported from countries that exploit natural resources or the workers themselves cannot make these claims. Also, many online printers including the giants that pay handsomely to always stay at the top of search engines queries most often print with UV (ultra-violet) inks because they dry fast and decrease the time needed to print the order. These inks do not break down into base components naturally as you can expect with any plastic finish that is baked onto or set using Ultra Violet light to harden it onto paper.

We think that this is an important distinction and one that sets both Printeca.com and YOU apart.

Printeca has relaunched!

Well, the new site relaunch has finally been completed. The Printeca Team has been working hard for the last month getting ready for relaunch today and they have done an incredible job if I do say so myself.

Our objective was to clean up the look of the previous site, make the process more user friendly and most importantly, refine the products. We have been printing Business Cards, Message Cards and Micro Cards since 2006 online but of course our history goes back nearly 30 years to doing it the old fashioned way. Our systems are as automated as current technology will permit but behind the printing and handling of every order are human eyes to check for anything that doesn't look right.

This is just a start though as we will be updating the products further and even adding new ones as the weeks go by. We will continually improve upon the images that can be pulled from our library for the Micro Card, Business Card and the Message Card. We are responding to more demand from users to just upload their own products and that will be expanded upon as well.
